Experts say parents should limit their childrens screen time and Kim and Kourtney Kardashian agree. It is no secret that both sisters love their screen time and posting selfies of their lives on social media but they believe their kid’s screen time should be limited.
The sisters also share the title of mother. Kim Kardashian and rapper Kanye West have four children. Meanwhile, Kourtney Kardashian and ex-boyfriend Scott Disick have three kids.
Kim and Kourtney have different personalities, and with these come very different approaches to parenting. Even with this, they can agree on one thing; there should be a limit on screen time for their children.
Kim frequently shares pictures of her adorable kids on social media. Kardashian seems laid-back in her parenting style but she does draw the line with screen time for her four kids.
In late 2019, Kardashian talked about how she believes that too much screen time is unbeneficial for her kids. She said: “When I raise my kids, I think about screen time, phone time, what to post, what not to post.”
Even though she has a significant social media presence, she believes that social media has its drawbacks. If children do not have their screen time-limited it can lead to mental health problems, including obesity and concentration issues.
When Keeping up with the Kardashians premiered, Kourtney, the oldest, was often the primary attention of the drama. She has become more private and reserved as the years have passed.
There has never been a question about Kourtney’s love for her three kids or how parenting is her ultimate priority. Her children follow a strict and healthy diet, and she likes for them to eat gluten-free.
In following this lifestyle that also means limiting television and video games to thirty minutes during the week and no forms of technology at the dinner table, making time for conversation and personal interaction.
But the question remains: Should children have their screen time limited?
Experts say…Limit Screen Time
Even if the Kardashians don’t always agree with the guidance of what experts suggest for society, one thing they do agree on is that screen time for children should be limited.
While many studies have said that some screen time for children is okay, increased amounts of screen time for children can potentially lead to behavioral and mental health problems.
Screen time needs of each specific family situation are different, but experts agree too much screen time can lead to problems.
And, of course, when video chatting with relatives, these rules can be overlooked.
