Kevin Hart is notably one of the funniest men on the planet. However, him being in rehab is no laughing matter. Though the comedian is back to walking, he is in excruciating pain. No one said the road to recovery was an easy one to travel.
40-year-old Hart is slowing getting back to his old self after being in a car crash last week. During the collision, he sadly sustained severe back injuries. According to sources, Hart’s spine broke in three different places. A friend of his was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident. The car swerved off the road and began rolling down before landing on the hood in an embankment in Calabasas, Calif.
Eniko Hart, the wife of Kevin Hart, was able to give some detail on her husband’s condition. While speaking with TMZ, she was telling them that he was going to be fine. Other than speaking with TMZ, she has not made any other public comments on his condition.
Kevin Hart Is On A Long Road To Recovery After Injuring His Back Severely
Tiffany Haddish, a friend and frequent costar of Hart’s was able to speak about her dear friend on Entertainment Tonight. She claims that he is o.k. and he is doing fine. She goes on to tell the interviewer that the last that she heard about his situation was that he was up and walking.
Kevin Hart had to endure emergency surgery involving the fusion of two fractures in the thoracic section of his spine. Also, one in the lumbar.
Jared Black, 28, who is a friend of Hart’s was driving the comedian’s 1970 Plymouth Barracuda during Labor Day weekend. The car veered off Mulholand Highway last Sunday around 12:45 a.m., rolling down an embankment, landing in a nearby ditch. Police reports indicate that Black was also injured in the accident. However, his fiancée, Rebecca Broxterman, 31, did have pain after the crash, she did not have to go to the hospital for services.
Authorities have been able to conclude that alcohol was not a factor in the crash, but speed may have been.
