On social media, all the artist were able to share their new achievements with all of those on social media. However, they want to encourage everyone to continue to follow their dreams.
Missy Elliot was saying to the students that there will be up and downs in life and to prepare for them. She says that along there is breath in your body, you can achieve anything and to never quit what you love.
In a statement from Berklee, Elliot is a groundbreaking solo super stat, singer, producer and rappers. Her words were very enlightening for the students receiving their degrees that day as well. She says you may find yourself wanting to give up.

According to reports from CNN, there are only a few other musicians who have been able to receive an honorary doctorate from Berklee. They include Aretha Franklin, Quincy Jones, B.B. King, Smokey Robinson, Rita Moreno, and Duke Ellington.
