Carnival Cruise Line To Add Roller coaster To Ship

Carnival Cruise Line will be adding a new show that will have a deck-top roller coaster. Christine Duffy, the president of Carnival, says that ship will be called Carnival Mardi Gras and will be able to hold 5,200 passengers. The vessel will be the first of a new series of giant vessels that will come out in 2020. The roller coaster will be the first of its kind on a cruise ship.

The roller coasters name is BOLT: Ultimate Sea Coaster. The new attraction will be 800 feet long and will have twists, turns, and drops. Riders will reach speeds of almost 40 miles per hour. Many will line up for this fantastic new attraction coming to the Carnival Cruise Line.

Duffy says that it will be a thrill ride to remember for all willing take on the BOLT. She rode a prototype of the attraction before it was ready for the ship. She believes that the new ride is a cool innovation. The new Mardi Gras ship will have new guest features and experiences that they have not had before.

The latest attraction is only one of the many over-the-top amusements to come to the cruise line. There are go-cart racing tracks on the top deck of Norwegian Cruise Line’s newest ships, Norwegian Bliss and Norwegian Joy.

On two of the lines newest ships Carnival Horizon, and Carnival Vista, they offer a sky ride. When it comes to the new rides, Duffy says that people always are wanting more. She says that they are looking for some exciting and unique.

However, the new BOLT is an all-electric roller coaster that will be on the main deck of the ship. Though the ride doesn’t last as long as the typical land coaster, the track does soar 187 about sea level.  Also, the vehicles the rider will be in look like motorcycles.
