Massive Wildfires continue to wreak havoc in the state of California. They have forced hundreds of thousands of people to evacuate their homes. Celebs such as Gerard Butler, Miley Cyrus and Neil Young have all lost their Malibu homes due to the fires.
Other celebs such as Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian West, Rainn Wilson, and Alyssa Milano had to flee their homes over the weekend.
Cyrus says that she is utterly devastated over the fires that are currently affecting her community. However, she encourages people to help in relief efforts. She’s asking people to donate money and supplies to organizations such as California’s Wildfire Relief Fund and the Red Cross.
Gerard Butler was able to share a photo on Instagram of the what remains of his Malibu. Also, he thanked the Los Angeles Fire Department for their services. He says that after evacuating his home, it was heartbreaking to see the damage. However, he says that it is even worst that California is going through this troubling time. He says that the firefighters inspire him with their courage, spirit, and sacrifices.
Gerard Butler And Other Celebs Lose Houses in California Wildfires
On his website, Neil Young says that he hopes the fires help urge people to get out there and help someone else. He says that a lot of the firefighters are saying that they have never seen anything so massive in their lifetimes. With that in mind, he says that even though he no longer has his home due to the California fire, he hopes the people in the world can come together and help those in need.
On Robin Thicke’s page, he expresses his gratitude for volunteers and firefighters. He says that he was driving away to safety, and saw them risking their lives to save his home. Thicke says that he and his family and friends are safe and together.
