During Friday night’s game against the Lakers, the Warriors were able to make the right amounts of plays to win 113-106. The teams were playing at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California. Kevin Durant was able to score 33 points for his team. Double-doubles were in the air for Draymond Green and Jordan Bell as the Warriors continued their long winning streak.
The Lakers were in the lead at one point during the third quarter after falling 23-points behind. Though Julius Randle helped cap off a 12-2 L.A. run after shooting a 3-pointer, the Warriors snatched back the lead fast. Nick Young, a former Laker himself, was able to score few 3-pointers to bring the Warriors back up. During the fourth-quarter, they had an eight-point cushion against the Lakers until finally winning by seven points.
The Warriors beat the Lakers twice this past week
The first game was on Monday, and they won by two points.
Kevin Durrant was the reason for the Warriors great start to the game. He was able to score all five shot attempts he made. Durrant also scored seven rebounds and assists. He is now averaging 32.3, points, 7.2 assists. 5.0 rebounds and 2.1 steals during the seven games that Steph Curry has had to sit out for since his injury.
Jordan Bell was able to pick up his first double-double of his rookie career. He is the first Warrior rookie since Harrison Barnes to have 20-and-10 game since November of 2012. Bell came through for his team this game, especially during the last stretch of the game.
It’s been two weeks, but the Warriors finally had Draymond Green out on the court. Due to his right shoulder being sore, he sat out the prior four games. He was able to bring in 13 points, seven assists, two teals and 11 boards.
