Mariah Carey Speaks On Battle With Self-Esteem

Mariah Carey is a singer that is known for being glamorous and fabulous. She was won numerous Grammies, World Music Awards, American Music Awards, and Billboard Music Awards over the years. Many consider Mariah to be one of the greatest singers ever. Be that as it may, she is still human, and admits to suffering from low self-esteem issues.

In a recent interview, the 47-year-old singer spoke about her personal battle with self-confidence and insecurities.

She says that feels like she is no different than anyone else and deserves the same respect. She says that for as long as she can remember, she has been dealing with low-self esteem. Mariah doesn’t believe that other people believe her.

Carey said that growing up biracial had her feeling as though she did not fit in for awhile. Music was her outlet. Music was her way of expressing herself.

Mariah Carey has been in the headlines a lot lately as she tours with Lionel Richie.

Most of the controversy comes from her attitude during her performance. Tabloids keep calling her lazy. Fans continue to mock her performances on social media outlets. Some even say that it’s time for her to let it go.
She told interviewers about how hard it was for her at the beginning of her career to get a deal with a major company. She said that she would be in studios over night making demos. The singer wouldn’t have any food to eat, and she would sleep on the floor.

Mariah Carey isn’t the only star to come out to the public about having self-esteem issues. Rihanna and Oprah have both spoke on the issue.

Jennifer Lopez, back in 2014 said that her relationships did not work out due to her battling her own self-confidence. After the end of marriage number three, she reporters that she was indeed confident with her performing skills. But when it comes to how she felt about herself, she wasn’t too sure.
