Famous Drummer Sib Hashian Dies At 67

A famous Drummer.

The famous classic drummer Sib Hashian passed away March 20th, 2017. Sib Hashian is the former drummer for the classic arena rock-n-roll band of Boston. Sadly, Hashian died while drumming away on the Legends of Rock Cruise, at the age of 67. Sib’s oldest son Adam Hashian shares that the cause of his Fathers death is still not determined.

While performing aboard the rock n’ roll cruise ship, Sib Hashian collapsed mid-song without any warning. News reports state Sib was treated both with the defibrillator and CPR after collapsing on stage. After Sib Hashian had been rushed to the hospital, John Elefante asked fans to pray for their dear bandmate. Sadly, he later announced that he did not make it.

Adam Hashian confirms that his father did pass away, expressing his pain in losing his father. Adam Hashian also praises his father for being a thoughtful friend to many and an even better grandfather.  Suzanne Hashian his wife of 38 years, says funeral arrangements will be announced shortly.

Sib Hashian joined Boston along with his band mates Fran Sheehan, Barry Goudreau, Brad Delp and Tom Scholz. Sib Hashian was the drummer for the first two chart-topping albums. In early 1976 the Boston’s self-titled debut was featured in the hot hit singles list and released. The very popular two hot singles known as “Long Time” and “More Than a Feeling.”

One of their biggest Billboard hits is their 1978 hit song “Don’t Look Back.” Hashian’s Boston bandmates issued an announcement about the passing of the band’s drummer. They say their hearts go out to the friends and family of Sib Hashian who unexpectedly passed away yesterday. Sib’s drumming is still on the new Boston collections and leaves a legacy that will be recalled by millions.

After Sib Hashian’s sudden death had gone public, a few heroes, including Paul Revere, and the Raiders artist Mark Lindsay, Aerosmith’s Tom Hamilton, and Foreigner lead singer Lou Gramm paid tribute to the late Boston drummer.

Also, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson presented a powerful tribute on Sib, who he considers a second father. The Rock has been dating Lauren Hashian, Sib’s daughter, since 2007. They also have a little girl, Jasmine, together.

The performing artist said thanks to Sib for the numerous life lessons, and that although the family didn’t get a final farewell, the Hashian patriarch’s passing in this way is graceful. He died doing what he loved.
