The Famous Singer, Chris Brown was under arrest on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon on August 30th, 2016.
Officers responded Brown’s suburban Los Angeles residence to a woman’s call for help at around three in the morning Tuesday. Police got their search warrant Tuesday afternoon. Law enforcement officials spent a few hours at Chris Brown’s residence before he was in custody.
Bail was set at $250,000 and Brown was released later on that day. Geragos sent out a tweet saying Brown was now “out and well” and says the charges are “demonstrably false.”
Brown’s accuser is a woman, Baylee Curran, currently the 2016 Miss California Regional title holder. Curran says that Chris pointed a gun at her after she admired some jewelry a friend of Brown’s was showing her.
CNN has not independently confirmed Baylee Curran as the accuser. The LAPD Robbery-Homicide Division is handling this investigation. Details on the events that led to his arrest are not available yet.
Earlier Tuesday, August 30th, Brown shared three videos to his social media accounts. In one video, he went against the police and media saying he the police did not treat him fairly. Chris Brown says the police were treating him as the villain.
“Good luck. When you get the warrant or whatever you need to do, you’re going to walk right up in here, and you’re going to see nothing, you idiots,” he said in one video. “I’m tired of … dealing with Y’all.”
Brown, 27, was on five years probation in 2009 after pleading guilty to one count of felony assault against then-girlfriend Rihanna. He was in jail for nearly three months in 2014 after violating his probation. Brown’s next court date is on September 20.
